There is nothing better than interviewing a good friend who also happens to be a super star stylist and style director for one of my favourite magazines Real Living.
Mr Jason Grant lives, breaths and is pure style. Every inch of his amazing home has been intricately styled and every corner thought of. ♥
I look at these images and feel the immediate love he has for his own space and all of the beautiful things that live with him each day. After I looked at the article and slowly placed my dropped jaw back into place, I emailed Jason to say how stunned I was and that basically I would like to move in. Jason - Im still waiting for my answer...♥

Groovy KIds and Bluebird and Honey

Groovy Kids has been a loyal supporter of the Bluebird and Honey label since it opened back in 2009. Store owner Tracey pays great attention to detail and has created a delightful boutique in New Farm Queensland.  For those of us that live further afield thankfully she has also created a very user friendly website , which at the moment is filled with lots of seasonal specials.

Buttons, Buttons and more...

Well it all started with buttons as adornments on our Bluebird and Honey Pinafores, Cushions and Purses , and our love of buttons has not yet waned. 

Today I am meeting with Dani for one of last planning meetings before trade fair.

 Dani has been having a much deserved holiday and today there is a lot to talk about. Our final samples have been flooding in and all is looking great - just time for some finishing touches!

Gnomes and Toadstools as Inspiration

 Bluebird and Honey for the past few seasons has supported Bavarian Inspired Fashion- think cuckoo clocks, miniature cottages, gnomes and red appliqued felt mushrooms. 

We both attribute it to our Germanic ancestry.

You are not imagining it however if you have noticed this trend spreading further afield. The trend has been inspired by the world of Grimm's Fairy Tales, and Bavarian Imagery is spreading  to fashion and furnishings alike.

Amsterdam : Made By Hand

I have hinted before about my love of books and last year I discovered  a wonderful book by stylist  Pia Jane Bijkerk Paris: Made by Hand, it is an insiders guide to shops and studios that embody the spirit of original,  handmade and decorative objects in Paris. 

Such a visual feast , this book quickly got passed among my friends and became the topic of many conversations.

Well can you imagine my delight when I discovered that there is now a second book Amsterdam : Made By Hand, launched just this week - I can barely contain my excitement !

Bluebird and Honey at Life In Style August 2010

Well it only seemed like a moment ago that we exhibited at the February trade fair, and here we are already fully immersed in preparations for the August fair.
Scheduled for Tuesday 10th- Friday 13th August at Flemington Racecourse this fair looks to set to be huge, with a fantastic selection of exhibitors.
As promised we are working on a new selection of products , perfect for the gift season !
